UPD-IB: Stop releasing invasive species

(SEPT. 16) – The UP Diliman Institute of Biology (UPD-IB) in a statement on Sept. 11 called for a halt in the release of invasive species. Last August, the National Integrated Fisheries Technology Development Center-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (NIFTDC-BFAR) and officials of Barangay Old Balara in Quezon City released some 6,000 mosquitofish and at least 1,000 cane toads or bullfrogs, as counter measures against the dengue outbreak. UPD is top performing school at REE licensures

(SEPT. 9)—UP Diliman ranked first among the top performing schools (those who fielded 25 or more examinees and with at least 85% passing percentage) in the August 2019 Registered Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination, with all 33 of its examinees passing on their first try. UP downs FEU in opener

(SEPT. 4) —The University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons survived the very gritty Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws, 61-55, Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. Green transportation launched

(SEPT. 4)—Experts from the College of Engineering (COE) Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI) are looking at e-tricycles and bike sharing as clean, green transportation solutions for small communities.
