Bersales, a professor at the UPD School of Statistics, was appointed by President Benigno Aquino III as the first National Statistician to head the newly-created Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Landa Jocano will receive the Dangal ng Haraya, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ (NCCA) highest honor, on May 22 at the NCCA Building in Manila.
