Forum on the Magna Carta of women

A Forum on March 28, 1:30 p.m.at the Tea Room of the UP College of Home Economics. UPWVT conquers DLSU Lady Spikers

(MAR. 6) — The UP Women’s Volleyball Team (UPWVT) defeated the defending champion De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers in a five grueling sets, 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12 in the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Mar. 2 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. After losing the first set, the Fighting Maroons found their rhythm come second set and fought back to tie the match at 1 set apiece. A Freestyle Sunday

(March 4)—Biology professor and UP Diliman (UPD) College of Science dean Prof. Perry S. Ong, PhD, passed away on March 2, due to massive heart attack at the Metropolitan Hospital in Binondo, Manila. Ong was a Professor 11 at the Institute of Biology, where he served as director from June 2006 to June 2012. (FEB. 18)—The UP Women’s Volleyball Team started their University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 81 with a hard-earned 5-set win against the University of the East (UE) Lady Warriors at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan City on Feb. 16.
