BS Biology program is AUN accredited
The UP Diliman BS Biology program of the College of Science Institute of Biology (IB) received accreditation from the ASEAN University Network (AUN)-Quality Assurance System.
The accreditation signifies that the program adheres to the AUN academic standards and is at par with the biology programs of other leading ASEAN universities.
As of press time, IB has yet to provide further details on the recognition.

CFA Professor Emeritus Virginia Flor Agbayani, 96
(NOVEMBER 5)—Professor Emeritus Virginia Flor Agbayani of the UP College of Fine Arts passed away on Oct. 22 in Sherman Oaks, California. She was 96.
She is survived by her five children, Anna Victoria Agbayani Resurreccion, Marianne, John Patrick, Cana-Mari and Franz John; son-in-law, Rey Resurreccion; grandson Carl Francis Agbayani and his wife, Marie.
Agbayani was known in the world of Fine Arts and internationally as “The Grand Dame of Philippine Art Education for pioneering the inclusion of art education in the primary and secondary levels.
