(FEB. 28) – Japanese musician Keisho Ohno amazed the audience with traditional Japanese music infused with contemporary rock beats at “Rocking Tradition: A Shamisen Concert with Keisho Ohno” on Feb. 12 at the UP GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium. The Japan Foundation and the UP Asian Center are calling for submissions of Japan-related research for the “Japanese Studies in the Philippines: A Research Competition for Students.” The competition is open to Filipino students in the undergraduate and graduate levels.
