(JUNE 17) — The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) will honor five National Artists at this year’s “Seremonya ng Pagbubukas” on June 18, 3:30pm at the University Theater through songs, dances and skits. (MAY 30)⎯Over 20 researches from the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) were featured in its first student research colloquium, held on May 20 at the University Library Lobby.  The morning session consisted of undergraduate students presenting research proposals while the afternoon session was devoted to graduate-level research.  Two classes were involved. (MAY 30)–Seventy-one faculty members were named UP Scientists of various ranks under the Scientific Productivity System (SPS) in ceremonies at the School of Statistics Auditorium on May 28. The scientists were appointed for the period 2018 to 2020.
