Student org aids families

(MAY 28)—The UP Society of Industrial Designers (UPSIDE) students and alumni recently raised funds to help families affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). A socio-academic university-wide organization based at the College of Fine Arts (CFA), UPSIDE launched the cash donation drive Project TeamUp (TeamUp) on Apr. 12 to provide monetary aid to seven beneficiaries. Productive, creative and helpful UPD under MECQ

(MAY 26)—Amid the gradual reopening of commerce, a modicum of mobility among citizens had been observed in the last week, as Metro Manila came to life under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ). UP Diliman Statement on the Pook Palaris Incident

News of an incident in Pook Palaris involving several residents have been brought to our attention, alleging that one of them, an employee of the Philippine General Hospital, was evicted from his home due to discrimination against health workers. Reports from investigations of Barangay UP Campus, the Office of Community Relations and in the March 21 complaint the alleged victim filed with the UP Diliman Police did not mention his occupation as the reason for his eviction, only the fact that a number of earlier domestic incidents had occurred between the health worker and his neighbors. Save a life. Make a face shield

(MAY 20)—To continue providing frontliners protective gear to battle COVID-19, the UPD Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) is making a clarion call for volunteers to assemble face shields. Deadline for volunteers to enlist is today, May 20.
