‘Carillon a musique’ is an old name for the music box, a small, finely crafted container that could be put in one’s pocket and carried anywhere. When opened, it would unleash a familiar melody that was usually dear to the bearer’s heart.
The Cherubim and Seraphim, the official children’s choir of the University of the Philippines launches ‘Carillons a Musique’ a virtual series of small gemlike pieces from a repertoire stretching back 49 years. Every piece will be sung by members and alumni from the five decades of our existence. The songs will be released at regular intervals, starting tomorrow, May 23, 2020 all the way to September 21, 2020, our foundation day.
We hope that you will open these new music boxes as they are released and that they will also find a place in your hearts.
