Ocon is first Filipino Green Talents Awardee

(OCT. 12)— Dr. Joey D. Ocon of the Department of Chemical Engineering was one of the recipients of the 2015 Green Talents Award by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). UPD and PNU sign MOA

(OCT. 16)—The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) and Philippine Normal University (PNU) entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to enable PNU faculty members from its various campuses in the country to enroll in UPD’s Tri-College PhD in Philippine Studies program. Under the agreement, UPD will customize a program to allow PNU faculty to obtain a PhD degree in Philippine Studies, allowing them to teach at PNU while doing their course work at UPD. UP Diliman, through OVCRD’s IP and Technology Transfer Unit, is a member of the ITSO Network, and was invited to become one of the host universities, along with Adamson University and Mapua Institute of Technology, during the study visit to share its experiences, challenges, and best practices as an ITSO.
