International Publication Award

Awarded by the UP System, the International Publication Award (IPA) for journal articles is awarded to faculty members, researchers, project researchers and thesis students who publish in international peer-reviewed (Thomson Reuters-listed or SCOPUS-listed) journals. The amount is from Php 55,000 to Php P80,000. Authors’ home units also receive an IPA. The IPA for books/book chapters is given to faculty members, REPS, and professors emeriti whose books or book chapters are published by international academic publishers and university presses. The maximum amount is Php 55,000 for a book chapter and Php 110,000 for a book. For more details, click

UP Press honors 13 National Artists

Aninag 2015 opens Christmas at UP Diliman

Intricate Pampanga lanterns and the latest installation art by sculptor Toym Imao will take center stage at Aninag 2015, the program opening the Christmas festivities on campus on Nov. 27. Inspired by the Kapampangan tradition of the Lubenas, the University’s acclaimed performing groups will lead the parade around six stations on campus, illuminated by some 40 exquisite lanterns created by Pampanga craftsmen exclusively for the event. Pernia, dean of the UP Diliman College of Mass Communication (CMC), is one of the 14 CEO EXCEL Awardees for 2015 of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines. Kerkvliet Pro-democracy movements in Vietnam have increased because of the rampant corruption in government, restraint against basic freedoms, abuse of human rights and the government’s perceived inaction on foreign relation issues. “Since the mid-1990s, public criticism against the government of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) spread to the point that by 2014, it became a prominent feature of the country’s political scene,” said Dr. Benedict J. UPD tops electrical engineering exam; 100% passing rate

(SEP. 18)— Martha Isabel S. Dealino, 2015 BS Electrical Engineering cum laude graduate, topped the September 2015 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations with a rate of 90.95 percent. Ten other examinees successfully hurdled the exam, giving UPD a 100 percent passing rate. Of the successful examinees, three more made it to the top 10, they were: Anderson S. Ongsyping, third place (90.65%); Eldion Vincent H. Bartolo, fifth (89.90%) and Mark Brian O. Dastas, seventh place with 89.75%.
