(Dec. 27) —UP College of Arts and Letters (CAL) professors Pedro “Edru” R. Abraham Jr., Glecy C. Atienza, Banaue Miclat-Janssen and Dexter M. Santos won in various categories at the 2017 Aliw Awards on Dec. 19. President Rodrigo Duterte is known for his colorful language and sometimes incendiary commentary, but is any of it truly harmful? Actually, it is. According to a 2017 study by Profs. (DEC. 7) — The rain before the show started did not dampen the mood of performers, crew and spectators alike as “Session Avenue” puts the spotlight on homegrown UP Diliman talents last Dec. 1. The Office of International Linkages Diliman under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OILD-OVCAA) went on its first Cultural Exposure Field Trip last Nov. 26. International students from Japan, Europe and Southeast Asia were brought to Paete, Laguna and Angono, Rizal, the country’s wood carving capital and art capital, respectively, for them to get a glimpse of Filipino Artistry for a day. Eye-opening start for Christmas in Diliman

(DEC. 1)—Holiday celebrations is now official in Diliman with Pag-iilaw 2017, the annual ceremony where all the Christmas lights on campus are lit up for the first time followed by a mini-concert.
