UPD tops Oct 2016 CPA Exam

The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) was the top performing school of the October 2016 Board Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (BLECPA) with all its 69 examinees passing the Board. The only university with a perfect passing rate, UPD was followed by the University of Santo Tomas (90.72%), De La Salle University–Manila (88.66%), Ateneo de Zamboanga (87.14%), Bicol University–Daraga (84.93%) and Far Eastern University–Manila (82.35%). Folding fans, portable electric fans, umbrellas and shades became staple paraphernalia at UP Diliman’s (UPD) 105th General Commencement Exercises as good weather, sunshine and sweltering heat bid the Class of 2016 farewell on Jun. 26. Ombudsman says give people hope

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales called on the graduates of the UP College of Law (CL) to give hope to people “when all hope is lost” and not turn the law into an instrument of oppression at the latter’s recognition rites on Jun. 27 at the UP Theater. (JAN. 7)—Twenty-three Centers of Excellence (COEs) declared by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) are at UP Diliman. CHED identified 137 COEs in both public and private institutions through Memorandum Order No. 38, Series of 2015 issued on Dec. 23, 2015.
