Ang College of Science Oval (CS Oval) ay ibubukas na sa mga residente ng Barangay UP Campus. Ang “pagbubukas” ng CS Oval ay dalawang linggong trial. Ang pagbubukas ng CS Oval ay nangangahulugan na ang mga residente ay puwede nang gumawa ng kanilang de-stressing activities o ehersisyo (paglalakad, jogging, pagtakbo, yoga, stretching, at tai-chi lamang) mula Agosto 25, 2020 (Martes) sa paligid ng CS Oval at mga kalapit na pampublikong lugar. Donations for education

(AUG. 20) — A donation drive was recently launched for UP students struggling to cope with remote learning during this COVID-19 pandemic. In solidarity with the education sector, the UP Pre-Medical Society (UPPMS) launched “SULONG: Donations for Education” (SULONG) last Jul. 15. Launched on Jul. 26, the #TulongIsko donation drive aims to aid underprivileged UPD students in transitioning to the proposed remote learning for the UP System. SiM opens

(AUG. 18)—Silungang Molave (SiM), a new Community Isolation Unit for UP Diliman (UPD), held a soft launch on Aug. 15, 9 a.m. at the Molave Residence Hall . The newly-renovated Molave Residence Hall is in an acceptable distance from the various communities inside UPD, including Barangay UP Campus. To ensure public safety, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs diverted vehicular traffic away from the section of Magsaysay Avenue infront of SiM so that only authorized persons will have to pass there.

Minamahal na mga Kasapi ng Komunidad ng UP Diliman,   Noong ika-15 ng Agosto 2020 ay opisyal nang binuksan ang Silungang Molave (SiM), ang isolation facility (pasilidad pang-isolate) na magseserbisyo sa ating komunidad. Sa ngayon, ang SiM ay may 39 na kama  ̶ 20 kama ang nakatalaga para sa mga may kaso ng COVID-19 na hindi malala at 19 na kama para sa mga na-expose at naghihintay ng resulta ng kanilang pagsusuri. (AUG. 14)— Maureen Castillo Pagaduan, a former professor at the UP College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), passed away on Aug. 11 after a two-year struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was 67. A professor and later, chairperson at the Department of Community Development (DCD), she handled both undergraduate and graduate courses. She was also coordinator of CSWCD’s Office of the Continuing Education, now Research and Extension for Development Office where she also served as director. UPD REPS to hold virtual Gen. Assembly

(AUG. 13)—In an unprecedented event, the Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) from UP Diliman (UPD) will hold their general assembly via ZOOM on Aug. 28, 1 p.m. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development (OVCRD) recently announced the upcoming general assembly and enjoined the REPS to register at bit.ly/REPSGeneralAssembly. (AUG. 7) — The sudden shift to the “new normal” due to the COVID-19 pandemic saw the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) conferring academic degrees on 3,789 graduates at its first virtual commencement exercises on Sunday, Jul. 26.
