“Humanities Diliman” vol. 11 no. 1 now online

(JUN. 26)—The Jan.-Jun. 2014 issue of“Humanities Diliman” is now online.
The year’s first issue of the semi-annual journal on Philippine humanities features five articles about “the conceptual relationship of words in the world and the significances and meanings that motivate that link,” issue editor Jose S. Buenconsejo writes in the Editor’s note.

UPD garners 100% passing rate in latest Architecture licensure
(JUN. 20)—All 24 UPD graduates who took the latest Architect Licensure Examinations passed, making UP Diliman one of only two schools who got a 100% passing rate.
According to results posted by the PRC, all 24 examinees, consisting of 23 first timers and one repeater, successfully hurdled the examinations that were held in June 13 and 15, 2014. Two students entered the top ten.

EEEI holds 1st NEECECon
The first National Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering Conference (NEECECon) was met with overwhelming response, with over 300 participants from the industry, government, and academic institutions attending the two-day conference from July 18 to 19 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City.

UPD, AFI sign MOA for scholarship grant
UP Diliman (UPD) recently entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (AFI) for a scholarship grant.
Through the Future Leaders, AFI’s scholarship program, 12 undergraduate students will receive scholarship assistance beginning the first semester of the Academic Year 2024-2025.

The Philippine Review of Economics (PRE) Volume LXI, No. 1 is now available online.
The PRE is a peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the UP Diliman School of Economics (SE) and the Philippine Economic Society (PES). According to the SE and PES, the journal’s contents “are indexed in the Journal of Economics Literature, EconLit, and RePec .”
