COE conference takes on SDGs

Over 120 ongoing and completed research projects providing solutions to nine of the United Nations’ (UN) sustainable development goals (SDGs) were featured in the 2023 edition of the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Engineering’s (COE) annual Professorial Chair Awards (PCA) colloquium. UPD and DOST-ASTI sign MOU

UN now uses UPD researchers’ MVI

The World’s Mangroves 2000-2020, the 2023 report of the United Nations (UN) Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), used the Mangrove Vegetation Index (MVI) developed by UP Diliman (UPD) researchers as its mapping methodology. The report is about global and regional estimates of the area covered by mangrove forests, including area changes between 2000 and 2020.
