(AUG. 12)—This early in their career path, the UP Diliman College of Science (CS) has shown concern with the needs of the country’s future scientists. CS recently launched “Be My Lab Partner!” a program that aims to partner future scientists with donors who can help with their internet and gadget needs. (AUG. 7)—The UP Diliman Cash Office (DCO) will be closed from Aug. 10-14 after a member of its skeleton work force tested positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. In an advisory DCO issued on Aug. 7, DCO said all those who had close physical contact with the concerned staff have been informed.  Meanwhile, all DCO personnel will undergo RT-PCR testing and will isolate themselves until the results are released.
