(JULY 14)—UPD COVID-19 Response Volunteer (CRV), in partnership with various artists, organized an online exhibit and fundraising project called “Art Works” to help various sectors and communities in UPD affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. CRV officially launched the Art Works project to their Facebook page on May 21 and started showcasing works done by volunteer artists on May 26. Among the participating artists were Jeff Reyes, Jap Apostol, Colleen Rufo, Shiomar Elpedez, Manuel Arabit, Angelo Ngarag and Rai Balderama.

The UP Natural Sciences Research Institute- DNA Analysis Laboratory (NSRI-DAL) received the 2019 Outstanding Institution Award from National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).
