Dear Members of the UP Diliman Community,   The novel coronavirus has given me an unusual welcome at the start of my term as Chancellor. Within a week, I had to form the UPD COVID-19 Task Force, composed of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, University Health Service personnel, students, staff and faculty from the different disciplines to plan and carry out our university’s community response to the pandemic. Bustamante, 49

(APR. 28)—Former UP College of Arts and Letters (CAL) professor Randolf M. Bustamante passed away on Apr. 19. He was 49. Bustamante was a writer, poet, editor and translator who taught writing and humanities courses at UP and Ateneo de Manila University in the 1990s. CSSP holds dean search online

(APR. 24) — In an unprecedented move, the UP Diliman College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) will conduct its search for the next CSSP Dean completely online, beginning with its Call for Nominations today, Apr. 24 until May 6.
