Sa ikalawang pagkakataon, birtuwal na idinaos ang Parada ng mga Parol (Lantern Parade) sa UP Diliman dahil sa pandemya.   Naganap ang tanyag na tradisyon ng UP noong Disyembre 21, Martes, ika-6 n.g. sa studio ng College of Fine Arts (CFA). Samantala, ito naman ang isa sa mga pagkakataong ginanap ang pagdiriwang sa ibang lugar bukod sa UP Amphitheater at Quezon Hall.  Noong 1998, ang magkakasamang pagdiriwang ng constituent universities ng Parada ng mga Parol ay ginanap sa Luneta upang gunitain ang ika-100 taong kalayaan ng Pilipinas. 

Ngayong Disyembre 22, walang naitalang aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 sa UP Diliman at Barangay UP Campus batay sa stat report na gawa ng Special Committee ng UP Diliman COVID-19 Task Force. Sa pagdiriwang ng Kapaskuhan, mahigpit na pinapayuhan ang lahat na sumunod pa rin sa mga pangkalusugang protokol upang manatili tayong ligtas sa anumang panganib na dulot ng COVID-19. Ipinababatid ng UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs na ang Bakunahan sa Diliman ay ililipat sa UP Health Service (UPHS) mula sa College of Human Kinetics Gym sa mga susunod na linggo. Ang iskedyul naman ng pagbibigay ng booster dose na Moderna vaccine para sa lahat ng kawani ng UPD (regular, kontraktwal, o agency hired), faculty, estudyante, dependents, at barangay residents ay simula ngayong Disyembre 20 hanggang bukas, Disyembre 21, 7:00 n.u- 6:00 n.g. sa UPHS.
