The 2022 national election is merely two months away. To help voters evaluate the candidates, the UP Diliman Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts (DSCTA) launched the seven-part webinar series “Persuasion and the Polls” on March 8 on the DSCTA website and social media pages. UP Law Center, COMELEC hold training for AFP

In preparation for the coming elections on May 9, the UP Law (LAW) Center Training and Convention Division and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) recently held a live training program for military officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Reserve Command. Held on March 11, the training featured relevant discussions on constitutional and electoral laws as well as the Omnibus Election Code. The program likewise discussed matters relating to security, such as the proper use of firearms and the guidelines that must be followed in the operation of checkpoints.

Acad Oval to close for Shari’ah Bar

The entire Academic Oval, from the front of the Oblation Plaza to Vinzons Hall including part of Roces Street between the old Faculty Center and the College of Engineering, will be closed to the public from March 19 (Saturday), 10 p.m. to March 22 (Tuesday), 9 p.m. to make way for the Special Bar Examinations for the Shari’ah Courts that will be held in UP Diliman (UPD). It will be closed to motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and joggers as well as other unauthorized persons or entities.
