SiM calls for donations

The steady increase in the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country, particularly at the National Capital Region (NCR), and the present scarcity of vacant beds for patients needing hospitalization is indeed alarming. We, appeal to our fellow UP alumni and friends, to donate mattresses (single, 22), electric fans (22), pillows, bedding, alcohol, disinfectants, hand soaps, detergents, paper towels, cleaning supplies or cash to Silungang Molave (SiM), our isolation facility on campus. UP Diliman will remain closed to the public

UPD-Announcement-2021-s.13 This is to inform everyone that all public spaces in UP Diliman (e.g. the whole Academic Oval, College of Human Kinetics, PAUW-UP Child Study Center, National Science Complex, bike routes) will remain closed to the public until further notice. (MAR. 30)—Victor de la Cruz Garduce, University Library (UL) audiovisual technician passed away on Mar. 27 due to brain herniation. He was 55 years old. Garduce joined UP Diliman in 2001 as a staff of the UP Executive House. UPD-Bulletin-2021-8 The RT-PCR swab test service at the Silungang Molave Community Isolation Facility as recommended by the UP Diliman Health Service will be available from Tuesday, Mar. 30 to Friday, Apr. 2, 2021. This is made possible through the help of the UP Philippine General Hospital. Limited slots are allocated for those UP Diliman clients with COVID-19 symptoms who have been assessed by the physician-on-duty at the UP Diliman Health Service and subsequently referred for testing. UP to keep alternative work arrangement

(MAR. 29)—The UP Office of the Vice President for Administration encourages constituent universities under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to keep alternative working arrangements for their personnel from Mar. 29 to Apr. 4. Malacañang on Mar. 27 placed the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal under ECQ from Mar. 29 to Apr. 4.
