UPD tops latest landscape architecture licensure exam

UP Diliman (UPD) clinched the top spot of those who passed the July 2024 Licensure Examination for Landscape Architects, with five other passers landing in the top eight spots.

Jose Maria Raul Boncan placed first with a rating of 84.55%. He is followed by Ivy Zyrish Ong (second place, 81.40%), Hannah Kisha Samson (third place, 81.35%), Patrick Carl Capalad (fourth place, 81.25%), Rafael Luis Llaban (sixth place, 81.10%), and Flora Mae Sibayan (seventh place, 80.85%).

The University is the only top performing school in this licensure examination. According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), to qualify as a top performing school, an institution must have 15 or more examinees and achieve a minimum of 80% passing rate. Fifteen examinees from the UPD College of Architecture passed, giving UPD an 88.24% passing rate.

The PRC announced that 91 of the 142 takers passed the examination administered in the National Capital Region and Cebu.
