For the second consecutive year, the UP Streetdance Club (UPSDC) emerged as the champion of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Streetdance competition.
Dancing to a mix of OPM hits and character soundtracks, the UPSDC dazzled the 4,500-strong audience of the UAAP Season 88 Streetdance Competition on May 3 at the Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym.
The UPSDC danced with a Pinoy superhero-themed routine that featured iconic characters like Mars Ravelo’s Darna and Captain Barbell, Carlo Caparas’ Gagambino, and Carlo Vergara’s Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah.

Under the guidance of coach Ariel Alba, UPSDC clocked in 93.33 points (46.90 in artistry and 46.70 in execution) to best eight other teams in the UAAP. The UPSDC took home a total of PHP50,000 worth of prizes, combining both their championship winnings and prizes from the MWell Power Move Award. This victory marks the second straight title for the dance crew, who now leads the league with five total championships. Their current streak began in 2025 when the UPSDC clinched the title with a magic-themed routine.
