UPD is top-performing school in November Civil Engineers Licensure Examination

UP Diliman (UPD) emerged as the top-performing school in the November 2023 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination, ranking first among the four top-performing schools.

Sixty-eight of the examinees from the UPD Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) passed, giving the University a 98.55% passing rate. To qualify as a top-performing school, an institution must have 50 or more examinees with an at least 80% passing rate.

Four of the ICE examinees also landed in the top 10: Jonas Rhein Esguerra (3rd, 91.90% rating), Maria Erica Gomez (5th, 91.5%), Ayrton Dave Bautista (6th, 91.2%), and Reiner Vince Chavez (8th, 90.85%).

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 6,180 of the 18,582 examinees passed the Civil Engineers Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Based on data available on the PRC website, UPD has had a 93% average passing rate in the civil engineering licensure exams since 2018.
