By Albino C. Gamba Jr. (October 20)—All 90 examinees of the UPD Cesar E. A. Virata School of Business’ BS Business Administration and Accountancy (BS BAA) program passed the October 2014 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination, making UPD the only school/university with a 100 percent passing rate. In addition, four UPD examinees made it to the top ten. Kevin Patrick S. Lim, BS BAA 2014, summa cum laude, placed second with a rate of 90.71 percent. Joining Lim in the top ten are Miguel Alfonso M. Solidum, fifth place (89.71%), Josel Richa Ann D. Rivera, seventh place (89.43%), and Nigel Williamson T. Lee, ninth place (89.14%). According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 4,123 out of 11,137 examinees passed the licensure examination. Oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be announced later. |
