An evening of camaraderie and gratitude
UP Diliman (UPD) feted its international community and partners in a night of fellowship at the Chancellor’s International Reception 2023 (CIR 2023) on June 21 at the University Theater Lobby.

Chancellor Vistan visits BarriOSH fiesta
Dormers and staff of the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of Student Housing (OSH) under the UPD Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) were pleasantly surprised when UPD Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II paid them a visit at the OSH Night of BarriOSHFiesta 2023: The UP Diliman Residence Halls Festival (BarriOSHFiesta) at the Yakal Residence Hall basketball court.
BarriOSHFiesta was the first UPD residence halls festival and open house activity since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the campus in 2020, and it was met with enthusiasm by all who participated.

UPD strengthens ties with Pampanga HEI
The UP Diliman (UPD) Confucius Institute (CI) recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen its ties with the City College of San Fernando Pampanga (CCSFP) and the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The CI was among the higher education institutions (HEI) that signed an MOU with the CCSFP and the City Government of San Fernando on April 27 at the city government’s Heroes Hall Mini Convention Center. Other institutions were the Philippine Normal University (PNU) and L&T International, a private company.

CMC is 35; CECLV visits college
The UP Diliman (UPD) College of Mass Communication (CMC) is 35 years old.

UPD has 9 new professors emeriti
Nine of the 12 UP faculty members who were recently appointed as professors emeriti are from UP Diliman (UPD).
The appointments were approved by the UP Board of Regents at its 1379th meeting on April 3.
Of the nine UPD faculty, six belong to the Science and Technology cluster (S&T), two are from the Management and Economics cluster (M&E), and one from the Arts and Letters cluster (A&L).
