CFA highlights art’s role in IP struggles

In recognition of the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) Month, the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Fine Arts (CFA) hosted the two-week exhibit Crossing Rivers: Indigenous Struggles and Cultural Collaborations (Crossing Rivers). Kanlungan at Kasarinlan: An Arts and Science Exhibit on the West Philippine Sea (Kanlungan at Kasarinlan), recently opened at the UP Diliman (UPD) Marine Science Institute (MSI) Marine Biodiversity Resources and Information System (MBRIS) building. UPMV K9 celebrates 7th anniversary

Not even a light drizzle could dampen the spirits of those who came to celebrate with the UP-Metro Manila Development Authority-UP Vanguard, Inc. K9 Corps (UPMV K9) as they turn seven this year. Lady Maroons Shuttlers is UAAP Season 87 champion

The UP Women’s Badminton Team has dethroned the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Lady Shuttlers with a 3-1 victory at the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Women’s Badminton Tournament Finals. DUP stages Nanay Bangis

As its first offering for its 47th theatre season, the Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (DUP) stages Nanay Bangis, a Rody Vera adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children. According to DUP, Nanay Bangis “tells the story of a mother who loses her children to the conflict between the MNLF and the Philippine army from 1971 to 1981.” The play directed by J. William Herbert Sigmund Go features Ge Malacaman Villamil as Nanay Bangis together with Air Paz, Rona Rostata, and Fred Layno.
