Graduates from UP Diliman (UPD) performed excellently in the October 2023 Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination, ranking first among the top-performing schools (having the only 100% passing rate).
To qualify as a top-performing school, an institution must have fielded 10 or more examinees and achieved at least 80% passing rate.
All the 80 examinees fielded by the Department of Geodetic Engineering of the UPD College of Engineering passed. Two of the examinees also landed in the top 10: Genny Marie GeƱoso with an 89.4% rating (ranked second) and Aubrey Lalaine Lomibao with an 88.6% rating (ranked fourth).
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 644 of 1,377 passed the licensure examination given in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
According to the PRC data, UPD has been consistently included in the list of top-performing schools. The last time UPD posted a 100% passing rate was in 2019, while the last examinee who placed first was Christian Janlois Noriega who took the licensure exam in 2021.
