The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) on, Feb. 14, launched the online back-to-school kit, “Start UPD.”
Start UPD is a comprehensive compendium of updated student-related resources and services, academic support programs, COVID-19 support services, academic policies for the semester and related memoranda, updates on remote/blended learning, mental health and psychosocial support, and other student services.
The 11-page portable document format (PDF) kit has simple, easy-to-remember infographics, and each section is accompanied by a convenient QR code and clickable images.
Among the marquee services and programs featured in it are “Ugnayan at Patnubay: the UPD COVID-19 Student Handbook” containing updated academic policies, support services and updates on the limited face-to-face classes, the Sanggawad video series which covers a variety of topics like psychosocial support services and available financial and support grants, and the VC Consult where students can request scheduled consultations with Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Louise Jashil R. Sonido. Start UPD also has links to updated relevant memoranda from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs as well as online library resources and a guide to the University Virtual Learning Environment.
