Garduce, 55

(MAR. 30)—Victor de la Cruz Garduce, University Library (UL) audiovisual technician passed away on Mar. 27 due to brain herniation. He was 55 years old.

Garduce joined UP Diliman in 2001 as a staff of the UP Executive House. He later transferred to the UL in 2009 where he worked as Audiovisual Technician at the Media Services Section (now a function of the Information Services and Instruction Section).

“Kuya Vic” to his colleagues at the UL, is remembered for his generosity, hard work and good sense of humor.

“At work, he would be seen working diligently with microfilm rolls or with the sound system of the Main Library Lobby or the Audiovisual Room. He will be missed,” according to a post at the UL Facebook page.

Garduce’s wake is at St. Peter Commonwealth, Quezon City. Cremation is scheduled on Thursday, Apr. 1.
