(JULY 14)—UPD COVID-19 Response Volunteer (CRV), in partnership with various artists, organized an online exhibit and fundraising project called “Art Works” to help various sectors and communities in UPD affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
CRV officially launched the Art Works project to their Facebook page on May 21 and started showcasing works done by volunteer artists on May 26.
Among the participating artists were Jeff Reyes, Jap Apostol, Colleen Rufo, Shiomar Elpedez, Manuel Arabit, Angelo Ngarag and Rai Balderama.

Proceeds from the purchased art works were used to buy bags of rice and vegetables for vulnerable families living in four barangays at UP Diliman (UP Campus, San Vicente, Old Capitol Site and Krus na Ligas).

Prior to this project, CRV organized a donation drive and was able to collect P94,000 worth of relief goods in kind and P20,000 cash and have conducted their first relief operations on May 8 and 7.
The team successfully distributed 150 relief packs to 150 families in Village C of Brgy. UP Campus, and 300 relief packs to the 6-community based organizations (i.e., the Muslim community, BOCSWAAI, Ilonggo Association, Aninampo, Batang Masaya, Masaya Interior Group) of Brgy. Old Capitol Site.
