21st SEAPAVAA Conference
Imagining an AV Archive of the Future
Cultural Center of the Philippines
3 – 8 April 2017
9:00am – 5:00pm
We are pleased to announce that SEAPAVAA is having its 21st conference in Manila from 3 – 8 April 2017. Since SEAPAVAA’s inauguration in 1996, member-countries have taken turns in hosting the association’s annual conference, in conjunction with the yearly Executive Council and General Assembly meetings. The Conference will include a two-day main Symposium, a series of workshops, various screenings, a tradeshow and variety of activities for networking with international archivists, librarians, scholars, and filmmakers. SEAPAVAA 21 aims to attract 250 – 300 regional and international participants. This gives opportunities for the country’s archiving, heritage, and library sectors to meet SEAPAVAA’s international network of institutions. The conference aims to build networks and for professionals to be able to exchange expertise and find solutions. It provides an opportunity to engage and network with colleagues from around the world and promotes the exchange of ideas, skills building, and cooperative action. It is jointly hosted by University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies together with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and ABS-CBN.
