UPIS held 1st online community event

The UP Integrated School (UPIS) for the first time held “TANAW,” its annual community celebration, virtually.

Hosted by the UPIS student body Kamag-aral, “TANAW: Pusong Umaalab, Muling Magpapasiklab” was held online from May 5 to 7 and had several activities lined up for the UPIS community.

On May 5, the UPIS was treated to “Gunita,” a collection of performances of students from Kinder up to Grade 10. Each grade level showcased their interpretation of a song pre-assigned to them complete with choreography. “Gunita” also featured production numbers from senior high school students.

Meanwhile, the mini-game competition “Ready, Set, Zoom” and the online take on the school’s yearly sports festival “La Liga Isko’t Iska” were held on May 6.

“Ready, Set, Zoom” included contemporary board games such as Mafia, Wheel of Fortune, and Mystery Case while “La Liga Isko’t Iska” took place on various online platforms.

Finally, UPIS was treated to two musical competitions on May 7: “Usbong,” open to contestants from Kinder to Grade 10; and “Banaag a showdown of UPIS bands. TANAW had the online participation of UPIS students, alumni, and the rest of the UPIS community.
