UPD tops metallurgical engineers licensure exam

Graduates from the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Engineering Department of Mining, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering (DMMME) occupied all but one of the 10 highest spots in the October 2024 Metallurgical Engineers Computer-Based Licensure Examination.

Leading the 25 passers from UPD is Russel David, who placed first with an 86.65% rating. He is followed by Lorenzo Reyes in second place (85.80% rating), and Jimuel Biacora in third place (85.50%).

Skipping fourth place, UPD, through John Marrselle Almerina, placed fifth with an 83.30% rating. Almerina is followed by Lawrence Gil Buca in sixth place (82.35%), Jan Alfred Galindo in seventh place (82.30%), Kurt Cobain Estrella in eighth place (81.10%), Joanna Reyes in ninth place (80.80%), and Nathaniel Bonita landing in 10th place (80.75%).

Meanwhile, UPD garnered a 96.15% passing rate in the said licensure examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 41 of 67 examinees passed the licensure examination administered in the National Capital Region, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.
