UPD student tops interior design boards

Maria Ivanka Añonuevo of the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Home Economics nabbed the top spot in the July 2024 Licensure Examination for Interior Designers, one of five examinees from UPD who entered the top 10.

Añonuevo clinched the top spot with a rating of 85.80%, the highest among 119 examinees who passed the national examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission in the National Capital Region and Cebu.

She is joined in the top 10 by Kaye Patricia Picazo (third place, 85.25%), Ruwayna Cayanan Alqaseer-Del Rosario (fourth place, 85.05%), Mikaela Jamela Alba (sixth place, 84.65%), and Glenn Cultura (seventh place, 84.60%).

Añonuevo was part of Project Akbay: Disenyong Gabay Tungo sa Pangarap at Pag-asa, a 2023 capstone class project that renovated the Kuya Center for Street Children, a Cubao-based temporary shelter for runaways, orphans, and children from low-income families unable to afford public schooling.
