UPD has 100% passing in latest Mining Engineering boards

By Anna Regidor(SEP. 2)—UPD passes with flying colors as all 23 examinees from the College of Engineering passed the August 2014 Mining Engineer Licensure Examination, with seven examinees entering the top ten.Results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) show that Prince Joseph Erneszer Arbado Javier topped the exams with a rate of 89.60 percent.Javier is the sole summa cum laude graduate of Class 2014 from the Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.Joining Javier in the top 10 are Paola Grace Donayre Tuyor (2nd place, 87.65%), Mario Nikko Alimagno Priela (3rd place, 87%), Gandalf De Sagon Gutierrez (4th place, 86.4%), Jan Jeremiah Velasquez Villaroman (7th place, 85.95%), Jes Francis Morcoso Tanchuling (8th place, 85.65%) and Mark Anthony Cayabyab Perez (9th place, 85.45%).

According to the PRC, 123 out of 146 examinees (84.25%) passed the licensure examination. The examinees hail from 10 schools throughout the country.

Registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificates of Registration is on September 4. The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony will be announced later.
