UP Diliman (UPD) earned a 100% passing rate in both the October 2026 Electronics Engineers and October 2026 Electronics Technicians Licensure Examinations.
All 54 examinees from UPD passed the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination. Leading them was Justin Tria, who earned a 94.9% rating, the third highest score among the passers. He was followed by Mico Irvin De Mesa (94.1%), who earned the ninth highest score.

Despite living with an eye disease that nearly cost him his vision, Tria also passed the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination and ranked second with a 96% rating. He shares the second ranking with fellow UPians Joshua Luis dela Cruz and Christian Klein Ramos. Forty-four others from UPD also passed the licensure examination for electronics technicians.
Tria recalled he “had to balance the rigorous coursework at [the] UPD Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute with frequent hospital visits for checkups and eye injections to manage my condition. I had to use my phone camera just to see what the professor was presenting. I offer my sincerest gratitude to everyone who made this journey more bearable—and even enjoyable—despite the hurdles.”
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 1,106 of 2,337 passed the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination and 1,804 of 2,057 passed the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination administered in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
