Seven UPD grads top Met Eng’g boards

(SEPT. 16)—Terence Lucero Fernandez Menor (88.2%) topped the exams based on the latest results of the August and September 2014 Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examinations released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Joining Menor in the top 10 are Jan Remyr Acosta Astillera (2nd place, 84.60%), April Joy Hapitan Garete and Geoffrey Ray Laviste Nablo (4th place, 82.80%), Florian Dela Cruz Servidad (5th place, 82.75%), Emmanuel Legaspi Ballad Jr (6th place, 82.45%) and Jonathan Arnold Quintana Natarte (10th place, 81.70%).

According to the PRC, 38 out of 51 examinees (37.37%) passed the licensure examination.  Twenty-one of UPD’s 22 examinees made the cut.

The oath-taking ceremonies will be held before the Board on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila and on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. at Macapagal Ancestral Homes, Timoga, Iligan City.
