Legacy of Struggle: Cinematic Perspectives on Martial Law

Catch the screening of Cinemata documentary and short films that serve as cinematic perspectives on the legacy of struggle during the Martial Law on Friday, September 22, 1–6 p.m., at the UP Diliman Film Institute (UPFI) Film Center.

Cinemata is a platform for social and environmental films about the Asia-Pacific.

The film screening will feature “Beyond the Walls of Prison” (1987), “Ka Satur” (1984), “EDJOP” (1986), “Singkwento: Lito Ocampo” (2022), “Brigada Nueve” (2021), and “Pagtangis ng mga Aninong Umiindak sa Hangin” (2023).

The event is open to the public for free. Registration starts an hour before screen time at the cinema entrance.
