Himala Screening and Book Talk

Catch the free screening of the restored version of Ishmael Bernal’s film “Himala” (1982), with a talkback session by authors Neferti Xina M. Tadiar and Jonathan Beller, tomorrow, February 14, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Cine Adarna of the UP Film Institute (UPFI) Film Center.

Tadiar is a professor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at the   Barnard College of Columbia University, USA while Beller is a professor of humanities and media studies at the Pratt Institute, USA.

There will also be a book talk session for Tadiar’s “Remaindered Life” and Beller’s “The World Computer: Derivative Conditions of Racial Capitalism” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the UPFI Film Center Videotheque.
