(JUNE 5) – The UP Diliman (UPD) Business Administration and Accountancy (BAA) Alumni Batch 2004 is providing two scholarship grants for academically-deserving but financially-needy BAA students of the Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business.

Applicants for the grant must be bona fide Filipino students of UPD, at least in their third year, have a general weighted average of 2.50 or better, and are under the Full Discount or Full Discount plus Stipend categories of the Socialized Tuition System (STS), among others.

Grant beneficiaries will receive a monthly stipend of P3,500 for five months per semester plus a book allowance of P5,000 per semester or a total of P22,500. The grant is renewable until the student finishes the degree as long as he or she is in good scholastic standing.

The donor signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with UPD last May 20 at the Office of the Chancellor.

Chancellor Michael L. Tan signed on behalf of UPD while BAA Batch 2004 representative Romeo Laguardia Jr. signed on behalf of the donor. Witnesses to the MOA signing were BAA Batch 2004 alumnus John Balce, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Neil Martial R. Santillan, Socialized Tuition System Director Richard Philip A. Gonzalo and UPD Office of Scholarships and Student Services (OSSS) Officer-in-Charge Niel Kenneth F. Jamandre.
