All the 44 first-time examinees that UP Diliman (UPD) fielded in the May 2022 Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination passed, making it one of two top-performing schools with four examinees securing four of the top 10 spots.

According to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on May 24, the four UPD examinees with the highest rating are Angelica F. Jao in third place with a rating of 86.20 percent, Kobi Christian S. Go (6th place, 58.3%), Ma. Andrea Lisa A. Umali (8th place, 85%), and Sabrina Nicole T. Blanco (9th place, 84.90%).

Of the 1,032 examinees, 585 passed the examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.

According to data from the PRC website, the Department of Chemical Engineering (DChE) of the UPD College of Engineering has been consistently landing in the top performing school lists since 2018, missing it only twice in May 2018 and May 2019 boards.

In their Facebook page, the DChE congratulated the examinees for their excellent performance. ”Your Diliman Chemical Engineering family is proud of you! Padayon mga bagong inhenyero ng bayan, para sa bayan!” they said.
