UPD tops 2024 geologist exams

All 50 examinees from UP Diliman (UPD) passed the November 2024 Geologist Licensure Examinations (GLE), giving the University a 100% passing rate and making it the lone top-performing school for this round of examinations.

Leandro Ceasar A. Cediño, the first summa cum laude graduate of the UPD National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS), topped the examinations with a 90.50 rating.

Five other successful examinees from NIGS who made it to the top 10 were: Abigail M. Manahan (third, 84.20%); Caelan Philip B. Diaz (fourth, 83.70%); Kyle V. Gabriel (fifth, 83.50%); Mark B. Sumaden (sixth, 82.90%); and Theodore R. Tulod Jr. (seventh, 82.50%).

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 236 of the 249 examinees passed the licensure examination held in the National Capital Region.
