OVCAA needs volunteer face shield makers

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating a huge demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect the medical frontliners. Critical item in the PPE, a face shield protects the wearer from hazards such as potentially infectious secretions. As a small way of supporting the frontliners (eg, guards, cleaners, doctors, health workers, grocers) we have gathered common materials to construct DIY face shields.

This is a CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS (period: 1-2 weeks) to help assemble face shields remotely, in the safety of your homes and dormitories.

If you’re interested to help, please FILL UP THIS FORM: https://forms.gle/y6n4jgKamE7x6m948

For more information and instructional video, please visit our FB page: OVCAA Volunteers

Delivery/ Pick up:
-FREE (if you live within UP Campus)
-via Grab/ Lalamove (if outside UP Campus), you will shoulder the costs of booking the pick up and delivery

All materials are provided for and come with online instructional video. The constructed face shields will be donated to the University Health Service, quarantine area facilities and other frontline services, Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams, and government hospitals.

As we help reduce transmission of the virus by staying at home and preparing for a new reality, we can do a little more by aiding and encouraging our frontliners.

Maraming salamat po.
