In appreciation of their contribution as learning service providers (LSPs) to the various learning and development programs organized by the UP Diliman (UPD) Human Resource Development Office (HRDO), some 90 individuals and 50 units and organizations were honored at the Shaping UP’s Future: 2024 Learning and Development Recognition Day (Shaping UP) and Inspiring Excellence, Empowering Service: 2025 University-Marketing Campaign (Inspiring Service).

UPD Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II thanked the LSPs for imparting their knowledge as well as the partner units and organizations for supporting the various programs of the HRDO. He also thanked all who participated in the various HRDO programs.
He also reminded university personnel that the development programs offered by the HRDO are opportunities to better oneself.

Meanwhile, UPD Information Office Deputy Director Marielle Justine Ching Sumilong shared her experiences as a resource speaker at the LINANG Program.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of this experience was witnessing participants grow in confidence as they developed their skills. There’s a portion in my session where we practiced voice and enunciation, and it was, quite surprisingly, received so well. It was amazing to see how quickly participants adapted the skills and became more articulate and confident as I have witnessed in their capstone presentations. I can only hope that my session not only improved their public speaking skills but also helped them become more adaptable and confident in various professional contexts,” Ching Sumilong said.
In his message at the event, HRDO Deputy Director Kristian July R. Yap underscored the importance of the learning and development programs.

In closing, UPD Vice Chancellor for Administration Adeline A. Pacia encouraged everyone to participate in the various learning and development programs of the University, especially those lined up for 2025.
Shaping UP and Inspiring Service were held at the UP Fine Arts Gallery Atrium on Jan. 14.
