(APR. 14)—The UP Office of the Vice President for Administration encouraged constituent universities under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) to continue the alternative working arrangements for their personnel from Apr. 12 to 30.
Memorandum No. NGY 21-54 underscored the strict home quarantine and restrictions on the movement for those in the vulnerable groups are still in effect, following IATF guidelines.
Units or offices under UP Diliman, UP Los Baños, UP Manila, UP Open University and UP-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) may keep a minimum skeleton workforce in the exigency of service and observe alternative work arrangements like work from home (WFH) as deemed necessary by the CU Chancellors and the UP-PGH director.
On Apr. 11, Malacañang announced that the NCR Plus bubble (National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal), the provinces of Abra and Quirino and the City of Santiago in Isabela will be placed under MECQ from Apr. 12 to 30.
The memo also stated “personnel who are part of the skeleton workforce are advised to observe the minimum health protocols (e.g. wearing of face masks and shields, physical distancing, frequent handwashing) at all times.”
