UPD tops Master Plumber licensure exams

All 27 examinees from UP Diliman (UPD) passed the July 2025 Master Plumbers Licensure Examination, achieving a 100% passing rate for the University.

One examinee, Erika Alexis Garcia-Bernabe, earned an 85.10% rating and placed fifth among the successful passers.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 2,971 of 5,145 passed the examination given in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The PRC website states that to qualify for a master plumber license, an examinee must possess the required skills and competencies and must have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following courses: architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or sanitary engineering. These programs are offered at the UPD College of Architecture and the UPD College of Engineering.
