All 60 examinees from the UP Diliman (UPD) Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business (VSB) passed the May 2025 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (LECPA), with one examinee bagging the highest rank.
UPD is the lone university with more than 50 examinees to achieve a 100% passing rate. Topping the examination was John Elrich R. Gamboa, who earned a 92.67% rating. He graduated magna cum laude from the VSB.
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 3,156 of 9,533 candidates passed the licensure examination administered by the board of accountancy in National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban. Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
