UP Diliman (UPD) and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) have agreed to collaborate on research, publications, and student and personnel exchange programs for the next two years. The collaboration will be carried out between the UPD College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD) and the PolyU Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (FHSS).

Representatives from PolyU and UPD officials signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Mar. 10 at the Office of the Chancellor, to “conduct collaborative academic research, publish joint publications, arrange staff and student exchange, collaborate in service-learning programmes, student internships, summer and winter educational programmes.”
Representing UPD was Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II, while PolyU was represented by Eric Chui Wing Hong of the FHSS Department of Applied Social Sciences. Potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions include the exchange of academic materials, publications, and information; service-learning programs; student and faculty exchanges; international conferences, seminars, workshops and academic meetings; and joint research projects.
