FMS is at the center of ASEAN’s economic and logistics systems and is acknowledged as one of the prestigious business schools in the region, said KU’s website.

According to the Office of the International Linkages Diliman (OIL-D), FMS connected with UPD through the Chareon Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPFP), a Thai food manufacturing company in the Philippines. FMS, accompanied by CPFP, first visited UPD in Nov. 2023, where they met with representatives of the Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business (VSB), OIL-D, and UP System OIL and had exploratory talks for academic partnership.

The MOU aims to explore collaborations in student and faculty exchanges, research, lectures, and other possible academic cooperation. Aside from VSB, other possible UPD academic unit partners for the MOU are the Asian Institute of Tourism (AIT) and the College of Home Economics (CHE).

UPD Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II and FMS Dean Jumpoth Boriraj, PhD signed the MOU.
